Creating a Proper Online Form

I recently went on a banking website to open a new account, and although I consider myself fairly well versed in most things web, I found the application process overly complex, leaving me frustrated and eventually forcing me to leave the site. Even though it was supposed to be faster to do online, I’m thinking going into the branch would have been a better use of my time. It made me wonder how many other potential customers this bank had lost due to its inefficient and not-so-user-friendly form.
